Pragmateftis and its surrounding area is not only ideal for swimming, snorkelling, fishing or lying on the beach, but also for relaxing, reading, drawing, painting, writing or taking photos;
it’s also ideal for walking or bird watching.

The village is 1.5klms by road up a zigzag hill from the port of Sambatiki which has a taverna on the beach.

Next to this, the beach of Theoapafto which is mostly used by the villagers and by the locals who see this as their village beach and at various times of the year organize village parties here.


                                                                               Livadi

The surrounding coast line is mostly rocky but with many pebbled beaches or small coves. The next nearest beach is Livadi which is 4klms by road from the village, (there are shortcuts by foot)
there is a taverna right on the water front.

The town of Leonidio is 7klms away and here you will find all the usual shops: chemists, bakers, butchers, clothes shops, dentists, bars, a supermarket and even a spa. There is also a health center/hospital.

Leonidio also has a very nice port, Plaka, with many tavernas, bars and clubs. This is a very popular spot on summer nights for sailboat and fishing boat watching and enjoying a long drink
on the beach after a swim in crystal clear water.

The village location is also ideal for day trips to the historic towns of Nafplio, Mystras and Monemvasia or ancient sites such as Nemea, Argos or Mycenae.
